Why is this important for you?
We know that many HR teams have to manage multiple tools to meet the different needs of their teams, which leads to wasted time, data entry errors, and a lack of overall visibility.
Skello is now connected to A3 to help you simplify payroll preparation by automatically retrieving all necessary data from our partner A3, reducing the risk of errors and repetitive tasks. Your employees’ contractual and personal information is imported in real time and securely from A3 to Skello, enabling smoother HR management. Save time on low-value manual tasks and free yourself from the mental load of double data entry.
Prerequisites
⚠️ Attention: once the connection is established, all contractual and payroll data in A3 will be automatically transferred to Skello and will overwrite existing data.
Before connecting, it is essential to verify that the information in both tools is consistent.
The information required to allow an employee’s data to be sent from A3 to Skello is:
Social Security Number — primary matching criterion.
Email address — used as a secondary criterion for identification.
Note: Data from A3 will replace Skello data if they differ, except if the value in A3 is empty.
Contractual Information
An employee can only be synchronized in Skello if they have an active contract in A3.
If no active contract is found, the employee will appear as "not synchronizable" in Skello until a contract is activated in A3.
For employees with an active contract, the following details must match exactly between A3 and Skello:
Contract start date
Contract end date
If there is a discrepancy between the dates entered in A3 and those recorded in Skello, the synchronization will not take place for that specific employee.
Which fields will be populated in Skello from A3?
Once the connection is activated, Skello automatically retrieves a set of essential HR information from A3. This data is transmitted securely and updated regularly.
The information exchanged between the two tools includes:
Personal information: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Country of Birth, Nationality, Gender, Address, Postal Code, City, Country, Email, Phone, Social Security Number, IBAN, BIC
Contractual information: Employee payroll number, Contract type, Job title, Contract payroll number, Contract start date, Contract end date, Contract ID, Working hours, Archive date
Instructions
⚠️ The A3 x Skello connection is done per site. You will need to connect each A3 site to the corresponding site in Skello.
In Skello:
Go to:
Settings > Organization Settings > Integrations > HR Software
Click “Connect to A3” and enter your credentials.
3. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Subscription Key.
4. Activate the connection using the button next to the A3 logo. Initially, you will be able to view all data that will be transferred from A3 to Skello. These items cannot be modified.
Skello will start configuring both environments. Once the connection is ready, return to Skello and click “Synchronize Data”.
Skello will display a summary of the data detected based on the mandatory information listed in the Prerequisites.
Possible synchronization outcomes
There are three possible cases:
Employee exists in A3 but not in Skello → they will be proposed for creation in Skello.
Employee exists in both A3 and Skello → they will be proposed for an update according to A3 data.
Employee lacks information corresponding to the minimum required fields in Skello → they cannot be synchronized.
In this case, you have two options:
Continue the synchronization anyway: you can complete missing data directly in A3; a new synchronization attempt will automatically occur within 3 hours. If the information is still insufficient, an error report will be sent.
Exit the process and correct immediately: close the window, click Disconnect A3, complete the missing information, then restart the connection.
You will have access to a preview table based on the information detected in A3. It shows employees who may be created or updated in Skello, but it does not guarantee that the action will succeed.
For example, an employee shown as “to be created” may ultimately fail during synchronization (e.g., the email address already exists in Skello for another employee).
At the end of each synchronization, including subsequent automatic synchronizations, you will receive a detailed report listing the employees for whom an error was encountered.
Data updates
Once synchronization is completed, data will be updated automatically every 3 hours, from A3 to Skello.
Fields updated by A3 will become non-editable in Skello. Any changes must now be made directly in A3.
Field mapping
You can consult the field mapping table of the data exchanged from A3 to Skello on this page.
