Booking process

This article explains how the booking process for premium ads works, the timeframes to expect, and how to track the status of your bookings. Available on desktop only.

Booking premium products

From a Job (Promote button)

  1. Go to the Jobs > Active tab

  2. Click Promote for the Job you want to boost, then go to the Premium job boards sub-tab

  3. Select the desired product(s): Smart Spend slider, Popular packs, Popular job boards

  4. Use Add a pack or Add a product to add items to your Job-specific cart

  5. Access the cart via the Your cart icon at the top right, then click Proceed to checkout

  6. During checkout: confirm quantities, review discounts and credits applied, choose your payment method, finalise the booking

The cart in this view is Job-specific and only contains products for the selected Job.

From the Store tab

  1. Open the Store tab in the sidebar

  2. Browse the Discover or Job boards tabs to find the desired premium product

  3. Click Add a product, Add a pack or Add a Job Slot to add items to your cart

  4. On the checkout screen, use Assign to a job to book the product for an existing Job immediately, or leave the item unassigned to keep it in your Inventory.

Any available Credits will be automatically deducted from your order total at checkout.

After booking, your job posting may take up to 48 business hours to go live. You'll find the status of each booking in the Bookings tab under Active.


Inventory and booking assignment

If you don't assign a purchased product to a Job at checkout, it will be saved in your Inventory.

  1. Go to the Store > Inventory tab

  2. Review unassigned products

  3. Use Assign to a job to apply them when you're ready

Active slots and queueing

Some products are sold as reusable slots. If no Job is assigned, click Add to queue to select the next Job to publish. Queued Jobs will automatically go live on the next scheduled publication date shown. Only one Job can be queued per slot at a time.


Finding your past purchases

  • BookingsOngoing: if the purchase is already assigned to a Job (status Under reviewActive once published)

  • StoreInventory: if the product was purchased but not assigned to a Job

  • SettingsBillingBilling settings: opens the Stripe portal to view all invoices


FAQ

What are premium bookings?

Premium ads are a good choice for actively promoting your Jobs. In the Store, you'll find niche portals and social platforms that you can purchase and publish your job posting on. Smart Spend sets your budget and JOIN automatically allocates the spend across the best-performing platforms.

What happens to promoted ads after they expire?

The ad is automatically removed from the booked portals. To renew the booking, go to StoreBookingsExpired, then select Renew.

What are social media bookings?

JOIN offers premium campaigns on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. Once a campaign goes live, it starts immediately. All applications are collected in the Applications tab. These ads have no shareable link. Track performance in the Bookings tab.

What happens to a Job when the booking expires?

The Job remains active in your Jobs tab. Only the booking's status changes to expired. The Job does not close and is not automatically unpublished.
