At JOIN, protecting your personal data is an absolute priority. We process your data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the GDPR. This privacy policy applies to data processing under the JOIN Offering via the platform https://join.com/.

Why and on what legal basis do we process your data?

Website visits: automatically collected information (IP address, device, date/time, URL visited, browser) to ensure the platform functions properly, system security and administration. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Candidates: processing for managing the user account and applications, suggesting suitable job postings (matching), and communicating with companies. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Companies: processing for creating the company account, creating and distributing job postings (including multiposting), managing applications, suggesting candidates, and billing. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Customer support: use of Intercom, Mailchimp/Mandrill, Salesforce, Customer.io, FrontApp, Appcues to handle requests. Data transmitted includes name, email, IP address, browser information, customer history.

Online presence: cookies (session, analytics, targeting), Google Analytics, Bing Ads, Hotjar, Facebook Pixel, Stripe, Google SSO, Cello (referrals), Testlify (assessments), Microsoft Clarity.


Who do we share your data with?

With service providers (hosting providers, CRM, payment, analytics), third parties as required by law or contract, and during corporate transactions (merger, sale, bankruptcy). JOIN does not sell or rent your data to third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.


International transfers

Some providers are located outside Switzerland/the EU (notably in the United States). JOIN ensures that transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards compliant with the GDPR and the FADP.


Retention period

Data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by legal obligations. Generally 6 to 10 years after the end of the contract.


Your rights

You have the following rights: access to your data, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, objection to processing. To exercise your rights, contact our Data Protection Officer. You can also contact the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner).


Update

JOIN reserves the right to update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on the website.
