How do I send payroll data from Skello to a3innuva Nómina?

Why use this integration?

Preparing payroll often means re-entering hours, absences and bonuses by hand, or juggling CSV and Excel exports. It's slow, and every manual entry is a chance for error.

With the Skello and a3innuva Nómina connection, you send your variable pay items and absences from Skello straight to a3innuva, in one click. You choose how Skello variables map to a3innuva concepts, which data to send and which employees to include. Then you track the status of each sync in real time, with an error report if a setting needs fixing.

ℹ️ This integration works one way: Skello → a3innuva Nómina. a3innuva never overwrites your Skello data as part of this integration.

Prerequisites

To turn on the a3innuva Nómina payroll integration, you need to:

  • Have the HR Expert option in Skello.

  • Subscribe to the Conectia module in a3innuva Nómina.

  • Fill in this form to get your API keys (more info here).

  • Make sure each Skello site matches one of your company's work centers in a3innuva.

💡 Already using the a3innuva → Skello HR integration for your employee data? Your existing connection is reused, so there's no need to enter your credentials again.

Required data for each employee

To sync an employee to a3innuva, one field is required:

  • Payroll ID

It must be filled in on the employee's profile in Skello and in a3innuva, and be exactly the same in both tools.

⚠️ If the payroll ID is missing or doesn't match, the employee can't be synced. An error message appears when you sync, and you can fill in the missing info right there.

An employee's data is only sent if:

  • Their shifts for the period are validated in Skello.

  • Their absences for the period are validated in Skello.

  • Every variable pay item and absence type involved is mapped to an a3innuva code.

Good to know:

  • Payroll is managed per site, so several employees can share the same payroll ID if they belong to different sites. That's expected.

  • If an employee works across several sites, they have one profile per site in Skello, and so one payslip per site in a3innuva.

Data sent to a3innuva

Variable pay items: hours worked, overtime, night hours, bonuses and other variables, based on the mappings you've set up.

Absences: absences validated in Skello, based on the mappings set up with a3innuva absence codes.

⚠️ Only shifts and absences validated for the period are sent. Make sure all pending shifts and leave requests are validated before you sync.

How to set up the connection

Steps in Skello

  1. Go to Settings > Organisation settings > Payroll.

  2. Turn on the toggle next to the a3innuva Nómina logo.

  3. If you're not connected to a3innuva yet, enter your Client ID, Client Secret and Subscription Key.

  4. Set up your mappings: link each Skello variable pay item and absence type to the matching a3innuva code.

⚠️ If your payroll manager changes a code in a3innuva, update the mapping in Skello too. Otherwise, that data won't be sent.

How to send your data

  1. Go to the Report tab.

  2. Select the pay period (month/year) to send.

  3. Choose the employees to include.

  4. Click "Sync".

Possible sync outcomes

When you sync, there are three possible outcomes:

  • Data sent successfully → it's available in a3innuva Nómina for payroll processing.

  • Payroll ID missing or mismatched → the employee isn't synced. An error message lets you add the payroll ID.

  • A variable pay item or absence isn't mapped → an error message appears so you can complete the setup before syncing again.

A report lets you track the status of each sync and spot any settings to fix.
