Smart Planner technology helps you create your schedule automatically, placing the right people in the right positions at the right time. Smart Planner suggests schedules according to the constraints you set.
How do I access Smart Planner?
To access Smart Planner, click on the Magic Wand icon in the top right-hand corner of your schedule:
Then click on the blue button: “I set my rules in my settings” to access Smart Planner Rules.
How do you set your schedule preferences?

Defining your schedule preferences allows you to integrate your constraints for better management of working time.
How do you go about it?
Employee availability:
Choose whether or not to take into account your employees' availability.
Working hours:
Determine the daily amplitude of your shifts and the number of weekly rest days.
Overtime system:
Select the overtime system you wish to set up.
By default, Skello sets the rules according to your collective agreement.
How do I enter the criteria for allocating shifts?
Why is this important?
Indicating the different positions on which your employees can work allows you to optimize the distribution of shifts.
How do you do this?
Main positions:
Assign your employees to these positions first.
Secondary positions:
Use these positions when your business needs them.
Your employees are automatically assigned to primary and secondary positions according to your schedule history. You can adjust these choices as you see fit.
Tip
Once you've set your productivity rules, this step is no longer necessary to launch Smart Planner. However, you can consult or modify your rules at any time from your establishment's settings in “Smart Planner Rules”.
Important points to note
Weekly rest periods: Smart Planner will always schedule your weekly rest periods on Sundays. If this rule doesn't suit you, position your rest periods in advance before launching Smart Planner.
Work-study contracts: Employees on work-study contracts are also shifted on days when they are absent. Position your alternating contract employees' absences in advance, using the Ecole CFA absence system.

How does it work?
Lowest hourly rate:
For equal skills, the employee with the lowest hourly rate will be favored.
Lowest hour tracker:
With equal skills, the employee with the lowest hour tracker will be favored.
Standard contracts:
Standard contracts (hourly volume and day rate) are preferred over your Extras contracts.
Hourly range:
Shifts with the widest range of hours are preferred when assigning.
Primary positions:
Primary positions are given preference over secondary positions.
