Why is this important?

The permissions and actions settings allow you to define managers' and employees' access to Skello's various functions, as well as the actions they are authorized to perform.

How do I access the permissions and actions settings?

  1. Access settings:

    • Go to Establishment settings > General settings > Permission levels & actions.

    • For quick access, click on the arrow next to your initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select the organization name from the drop-down menu.

  2. Customize authorized actions:

    • Permission settings are the same for all establishments within an organization.

    • By default, several permission levels are activated for Success and Premium subscriptions: system administrator, advanced master, advanced scheduler, standard employee.

To activate a new permission level, contact support via the blue bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. To deactivate an unused permission level in your establishment(s), remove the blue check mark at the bottom left of the box.

How do I set manager permissions?

Permission levels for managers (Master & Scheduler) can be customized. The System Administrator permission, which gives access to all data and actions, cannot be modified.

Data accessible to managers

  • Establishments: Access to data for all establishments to which the manager is attached.

  • Teams: Access limited to data from managed teams.

Authorized actions for managers

  • Schedule: Create, modify, lock, publish.

  • Employee area: View and modify employee files, archive, access sensitive data, manage requests (leave, availability, shift transfers), access his/her own hour tracker on the application.

  • Reports: View, modify export parameters, add or modify bonuses, add comments.

  • Establishment parameters: Create positions, view and modify rules and absences, activate agreement alerts, modify permission levels and billing data, create document templates.

  • Time clock: View and modify online time clock space, access parameters.

  • Dashboard: access management indicators, receive activity reports.

Read-only permission (standard or advanced) can be set to give access to schedule, report and employee data without being able to modify them. Useful for payroll managers, CFOs and external parties (accountants, consultants).

How do I set employee permissions?

Two permission levels are available for employees: Advanced Employee and Standard Employee.

Data accessible to employees

  • Establishments: Access to data from the establishments where they work.

  • Teams: Limited access to team data.

  • Staff: Access only to their own data.

Authorized actions for employees

  • Shift transfer: Possibility of requesting a shift transfer.

  • Availability or leave requests: Make your own requests.

  • HR file: Modify your own file.

  • Add documents: Add documents to your space.

  • Access your hour tracker: Access your hour tracker from the application.
