Why is this important?

Adapting Skello's settings to your establishment's rules ensures efficient, standards-compliant management. Here's how to configure these settings.

Accessing operating rules

Go to Establishment settings > Rules > Basic rules.

Define the Collective Agreement

  1. Selection at establishment creation:

    • Choose from the list of proposed agreements.

  2. Impact of Collective Agreement:

    • Additional hours worked: Additional hours, night hours, Sundays and holidays.

    • Alerts: Automatically triggered according to Collective Agreement texts.

    • Employment contracts: Levels and steps proposed in contract data.

  3. Modify the Collective Agreement:

    • Go to Establishment parameters > Basic rules.
If you can't find your agreement in the list, contact your contact person or the support team via the blue bubble.

Set working hours

  1. Set working hours:

    • Corresponds to the establishment's working hours.

    • Shift start and end times are limited to the times entered.

To avoid malfunctions, don't reduce shift times once they've been set. Punches outside these times will be ignored.

Set shift times from 00:00 to 00:00 for maximum flexibility.

Trigger a break by default

  1. Set automatic breaks:

    • Activate a break after a certain number of consecutive hours.

    • The break is triggered after the set duration (e.g. 6:01 a.m. for a break at 6 a.m.).

Breaks can only be activated on the same shift, not on several consecutive shifts.

For scheduled breaks, schedule two shifts in a break.

Enable or disable break pay

  1. Pay breaks:

    • Check “Enable break pay” to include break time in shift duration.

  2. Do not pay breaks:

    • Leave the option unchecked to deduct break time.

Use the time clock to clock in and out of breaks, to find out how long breaks actually last. Set this up in the time clock rules.

Set employer's contribution rate

  1. Set rate:

    • Allows you to calculate hourly rates charged to employees from gross hourly rates.

  2. Automatic application:

    • Applied automatically to payroll data for analysis of establishment performance.

Use this information to track establishment performance indicators.

Set meal management parameters

Once you've defined the basic rules, you can set up meal reimbursement in the establishment.

Access hour tracker settings

A second tab lets you set up hour trackers for additional hours, annualization, paid time off and holidays.
