Where can I find the absences settings?

Access establishment settings by clicking on the cogwheel in the top right-hand corner of your Skello space, then go to Absences.

Absence categories

Absences categories vary depending on whether additional hours compensation is enabled in the establishment settings.

Activate/deactivate an absence reason

The list of absences covers all the reasons commonly used to justify an employee's absence. In the parameters, you can activate or deactivate unused absence categories so that they no longer appear when an absence is added to the schedule.

Good to know

  • It is not possible to customize the name of an absence or add a new one.

  • It is not possible to change the colors of absence shifts on the schedule.

Maintaining meal allowance during absences

To maintain meal allowance, check the Compensatory allowance box to the right of the absence reason.

  • Option enabled: When an absence is scheduled, compensation for a meal is automatically triggered on the report.

  • The payment of a meal during an absence does not take into account the compensation parameters defined for work shifts.

Acquiring paid time off during absences

Certain absences, considered as actual working time, enable paid time off to be fully acquired when scheduled.

  • Yes” in the ‘Allows paid time off’ column: paid time off is maintained.

  • Absences without “Yes”: Impact on the number of days acquired in the CP tracker.

The paid time off tracker can be modified manually if a company agreement so provides.

Paid time off can only be acquired if paid time off trackers are enabled in the establishment's settings.
