How to send e-mails and add notes to Skello?
Updated over 2 months ago

Why is this important?

Communicating with your employees and monitoring their activity is essential for optimal management. Skello lets you send e-mails and add notes and comments from the schedule to improve this communication.

How do I send an e-mail to my employees?

  1. Go to the Employees tab.

  2. Click on the envelope in the top right-hand corner.

  3. Choose the recipients:

    • All employees or select from the list.

    • The employee must have an e-mail address on Skello, otherwise his or her name will be grayed out.

  4. Enter subject and message.

  5. Add an attachment (max. 4 MB) if needed.

  6. Click on Send.

You can hide recipients' e-mail addresses by checking “Send as blind copy”. A copy of the e-mail is sent to the sender for follow-up.

The e-mail is sent from no-reply@skello.io; employees cannot reply to it.

How do I add notes from the schedule?

Manager side

  1. From the Schedule tab :

    • Add notes on the employee's shift for useful information or clarification (reason for lateness, place of activity).

  2. From the Time Clock tab (if enabled):

    • Add notes for monitoring working hours when validating badged hours.

The schedule must be unlocked to add a note. Once locked, the contents of the shift can be viewed by clicking on it. A notepad pictogram indicates a note on the shift. Move the mouse over it to view the note.

The note entered in the shift can be consulted by the employee concerned, once the schedule has been published, as well as by all managers, who have access to the employee's schedule.

Employee side

  1. From the mobile application:

    • Employees can add a comment to their shift by touching the shift to open it. They can reply to a note or add information.

    • Comments can only be added from the mobile application and cannot be modified or deleted.

  2. From the online space:

    • The employee sees a yellow dot on the shift with a note. He/she can view the note by hovering the mouse over it, but cannot reply.
