Why is this important?

Each permission level on Skello authorizes specific access and actions for employees and managers. Understanding these levels enables you to configure access according to your organization's needs, ensuring efficient and secure data management.

What types of permissions are there?

  • Manager permissions

  • Employee permissions

  • Read-only permissions

Each level corresponds to actions that the employee can or cannot perform on Skello. By default, 4 permission levels are available and can be customized in the organization's general settings.

If need be, other levels can be added to nuance the hierarchical organization between managers and employees. Contact your manager by e-mail, or the support team via the blue bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Manager permissions

The default manager permissions are :

  • System administrator :

    • Owner or manager of the establishment.

    • Full power over the tool: define/modify all parameters, access all data, monitor billing.

    • Access to data from all establishments in the case of multi-sites.

  • Advanced master :

    • Operations director or manager.

    • Operational management of multiple establishments, time tracking and employee management.

  • Advanced scheduler:

    • Manager, department or team leader.

    • Responsible for managing/creating schedules.

    • Access to sensitive employee data by default, restricted access possible.

2 other permission levels can be added, to create more hierarchies between different types of managers:

  • Standard master :

    • Establishment manager or assistant manager.

    • Operational management of one or more establishments.

  • Standard scheduler:

    • Assistant manager or department head.

    • Responsible only for managing/creating schedules for his/her team.

The actions proposed in the advanced and standard levels are the same, allowing managers' access to be customized.

Managers have access to the data of people with a strictly lower permission level. For example, advanced masters can view data on standard masters, advanced and standard schedulers, and employees. Standard schedulers can only view employee data.

Managers cannot access the data of other managers with the same permission level.

Employee permissions

By default, only the standard employee permission is active in the organization:

  • Standard employee:

    • Access to his/her schedule when published by a manager.

    • Possibility of accessing the schedules of members of his team or of the whole establishment, and of performing several actions.

Additional levels available:

  • Advanced employee:

    • Authorization of more actions for certain employees.

Read-only permissions

Two permissions are available to allow people outside the establishment to consult certain data on Skello:

  • Standard read-only

  • Advanced read-only

These permissions are not activated by default when the account is created, but can be activated by a referent or via support. Contact the team from the blue bubble at the bottom right of your screen.

These permissions are often used to give CFOs, HR trainees, external accountants or payroll managers access to schedules, reports and HR data, without being able to modify the data.
