Why is this important?
When an absence is validated, the shifts for the absence are automatically added to the schedule. If an employee wishes to cancel or modify his or her absence, you need to manually adjust the shifts on the schedule.
Options for managing modified or cancelled absences
1. Delete shifts and reapply
Delete shifts from the schedule.
Ask the employee to submit a new absence request.
Delete the original request (optional) from the Absences tab.
2. Modify shifts directly on the schedule
Modify shifts manually on the schedule.
Caution: The initial request will no longer correspond to the modified shifts.
Important: Deleting the absence request does not delete the shifts on the schedule.
