How to set up the onboarding process as a manager?
Accessing the configuration
When creating a new employee in Skello, a dedicated step allows you to customize what will be requested from them during their onboarding.
Choosing the information and documents to request
Select the information to fill in: choose from the available fields (first name, last name, address, social security number, bank details, etc.) which ones the employee will need to complete.
Select the documents to collect: add the required supporting documents from a predefined list (ID card, bank account details, social security certificate, proof of address, etc.) or include your own custom documents. This configuration will automatically be reused for your next onboardings.
How does the process work from the employee's side?
Once the invitation is sent, the employee receives an email giving them access to a dedicated page (on mobile or desktop) where they can:
Create their password and access their personal space.
Upload the requested documents in the designated areas.
Fill in their personal and contractual information directly in the guided form.
💡 Progress is saved automatically: the employee can pause and resume their onboarding at any time. Once the process is complete, they are redirected to the mobile app or their schedule.
How to track onboarding progress?
Real-time tracking
A progress bar is visible on each profile to track the status of the onboarding file.
What happens if information is missing?
If the employee has not filled in some required fields or has not uploaded all the required documents, a visual indicator on the profile flags the missing items. The manager can then identify exactly what remains to be completed and manually send a reminder before proceeding to validation.
