Why is this important?
The home screen of the Skello mobile application is the main access point for your employees. As soon as they open it, they have access to key information such as the day's shifts, their paid time off balance, time tracking and their colleagues' birthdays. This overview helps them to better organize their day and stay informed.
What's on the home screen?
Today's shifts: All shifts for the current day are displayed at a glance. If a note is added, it will be visible to your colleagues.
Paid time off balance: The available balance, calculated over the previous month, and the date of the next vacation (if several are scheduled, only the earliest is displayed).
Total hours or hour counter balance: Transparent tracking of hours worked.
Colleague birthdays: Notification of birthdays directly on the home screen.
Daily shifts
All shifts for the current day are accessible as soon as the application is opened. If a note is added for the day, it will be visible to your colleagues.
Paid time off
Available balance: Calculated from the previous month.
Next vacation: The date of the next vacation is displayed if a vacation tracker is activated.
Total hours or hour tracker balance
To engage your employees, make it easy for them to keep track of their hours worked.
Activate access to the hour tracker :
Go to Establishment Settings (cogwheel at top right of screen).
Select General settings > Permission levels and actions.
Click on Customize.
Check the “I can access my hour trackers / total hours in the application” box .
Good to know:
This action is available for every permission level.
It has no impact on the web interface and gives access to information only on the mobile application.
Employees whose annualization is activated do not have access to this feature (coming soon).
Total hours
This information gives an overview of the hours worked over the past week. For example, on February 17, Anna-Maria worked 36.5 hours, i.e. 1.5 hours more than last week (February 7 to 13).
The hour tracker
This shows the total number of hours worked over and under the contractual weekly hours. For example, as of February 17, Anna-Maria had worked 7h30 more than her 35-hour contract.
Case study for the hour tracker :
Establishment with hour tracker + permission activated: A “My hour tracker” block appears.
Establishment with hour tracker BUT permission not activated: No hour tracker information is displayed.
Establishment without hour tracker + permission enabled: Total weekly hours for the past week are displayed.
Establishment without hour tracker and permission not enabled: No information is displayed.
Birthdays
If your employees have access to their team data, they can view their colleagues' birthdays via a notification directly on the home screen.
