How to modify and reset hour trackers from the Report tab?
Updated over 2 months ago

Hour trackers are used to manage the compensation of employees' working hours. It may be necessary to modify or reset these trackers to ensure accurate management of hours worked and additional hours.

Tracking hour trackers from the report

The report contains all data relevant to payroll preparation over a defined period, including cumulative hours worked, additional hours, absences and other payroll variables.

When overtime compensation is activated, the balance of all employees' hour trackers can be viewed in the Period Start Counter and Period End Counter columns.

  • Period Start counter: Represents the hours that employees can or must make up at the start of the period.

  • End of period counter: represents the hours that employees can or must make up at the end of the period.

To update the end-of-period balance (e.g. when additional hours are paid), click on Update trackers in the top right-hand corner of the report.

This update will take effect after the last Sunday of the selected period. The update date is indicated in the update window.

Edit trackers from the report

To pay additional hours or adjust the number of hours due, modify the hour trackers of several employees at the same time:

  1. Access modification:

    • Click on Update trackers in the report.

    • Select the employees concerned from the drop-down list.

    • Choose Modify hours trackers.

  2. Make changes:

    • Add hours: Enter the number of hours to be added in the grey box.

    • Remove hours: Enter a “-” followed by the number of hours to be removed in the grey box.

Changes are effective from the Monday following the update date.

Reset trackers to zero

To reset the trackers of one or more employees to zero:

  1. Access the reset function:

    • Click on “Update trackers”.

    • Select the employees concerned from the drop-down list.

    • Choose “Reset trackers”.

  2. Perform reset:

    • Trackers are reset to zero on the last Sunday of the report period.

    • Employees will start the following week with a reset tracker.

Example: If the reset takes place on Sunday August 27, employees will have a 0 tracker as of Monday August 28.

The reset cannot be undone. It is recommended to export the report before this operation to keep track of tracker balances.
